SciServer offers metadata, documents in various file formats, and text extracted from documents found in the UCSF-JHU Opioid Industry Document Archive (OIDA).

Opioid Industry Document Archive (OIDA)

What it is: collects, organizes, preserves, and provides free online access to millions of previously internal documents made public through legal settlements to enable multiple audiences to explore and investigate information which shines a light on the opioid crisis. The documents are primarily internal corporate records publicly disclosed from ongoing litigation brought by local and state governments and tribal communities against opioid manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, and pharmacies.

How to access: Create a SciServer Compute container and mount the OIDA Data Volume. Example notebooks are available there. For more information on using OIDA’s raw data, see the OIDA Toolbox, which includes a guide to Getting Started with OIDA and SciServer.
